Ecological product, also known as organic product, is an organic product that is produced without any chemical input and additive that will adversely affect the whole ecosystem and human health, from the seed of the crop sown by the producer to the harvest stage and the meeting with the consumer.
The aim of ecological (organic) production is not to pollute soil, air and water resources, and to protect plant, environment, human and animal health.
In the year 2010, the Regulation on the Principles and Application of Organic Agriculture was issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs for ecological (organic) products. The purpose of the regulation is to determine the principles for regulating ecological agricultural production and marketing, conducting, developing and disseminating organic agricultural activities and preserving ecological balance.
With the increasing human population, the lack of natural resources is sufficient and most importantly, chemical seeds, vaccination and inorganic products that can endanger human health are brought to the market and delivered to the consumer and many health problems are created. This once again revealed the importance of organic products. Organic products are produced under natural conditions and are among the highest in nutrients and vitamins.
In order for organic agriculture to be carried out, the authorized institutions should be audited in terms of production and certification and also some scope should be complied with in terms of how production will be performed and how it will be marketed.
Scope of the Regulation
Ecological product, in other words, organic product, in accordance with the published regulations and annexes, from seed stage to harvest stage and then to reach the consumer's hands, without any additives and chemical input materials or methods that may affect human health in all these processes of production. are certified products produced without any damage.
All products produced ecologically must have a certificate. Products without certification cannot be called ecological products. For this reason, we should never believe the products that are unlabeled and sold as organic.
In order for a product to be certified as an ecological product, it must undergo some control and inspection processes by the Ministry of Agriculture in accordance with EU standards. This control is as follows:
Separate audit and control is performed for these certificates. There is also a separate charge within each. These certificate prices are among the reasons for the increase in the price of organic products.
The following information is written on the label section of the products that have been given an ecological certificate:
You should see the certificate of the ecological product that you will get in the market, in the market or in another sales place and get the product. Another important issue is the validity of the certificate. Some of the certificates are used in a deceptive way even though they expire. This must be observed.
Organic products are more expensive than other products given the production and marketing stages. Due to its high cost, it acts with people according to their budgets and turns to more affordable products.
