In ecology-based education, nature is used as educational material. Cities that have a high density in terms of immigration, schools providing two-shift education, lessons that cannot be obtained as a result of noise and image pollution, and negativities such as concrete covered football fields instead of grass create problems in children's thinking abilities. The need to find a solution to this opens the doors to ecology-based education.

In this context, educational models are planned to provide the opportunity to observe nature, research, recognize, ask questions and find answers. This training will have a positive effect on the sense of social responsibility and motor development.

Ecology Based Training Plan

Ecological criteria on nature to be used as educational material will be determined. The right to life will be defined and the importance of ecological healthy living mechanisms, methods of protection, protection measures will be explained with details and examples. The whole training program will be equipped with positive samples (waste water treatment, rainwater collection, etc.) to be purified from negative samples (pool, worker problem, etc.).

The importance of alternative energy sources, recommendations to ensure their proper use and minimum consumption and the steps that can improve sustainable ecological sensitivity will be primed and modeled. Students will be encouraged to swap or share items such as books, clothes, play materials as appropriate. It will be provided in schools if necessary.

Ecological problems encountered in daily life and their solutions will be transferred to students and theoretical knowledge will be provided. In addition, internalization and attachment will be ensured by providing workshops and project works and applications in order to strengthen the subject. Significant studies in aquatic or terrestrial ecosystems will be carried out in ecology workshops or in natural habitats.

In addition, the topic of waste management, which has managed to attract attention today, will be explained in detail to the student. Repair and recycling workshops and how and how to reduce consumption will be demonstrated to ensure consolidation. Students will be informed about production principles and natural / organic production by establishing play materials or food workshops.

Ecology Based Schools

Sustaining sustainability will be ensured with sufficient budget separation in the schools of our country where the number of crowded students is decreasing. Students will be informed about the buildings constructed by considering environmental factors, geographical location, space features and building physics.

The designs will provide energy efficiency and benefit from alternative energy sources. Electrical and mechanical systems will be used as the optimum hybrid source in addition to the energy to be produced at the place where the training is provided and as needed. These systems will be selected from heat recovery, soil based heat pump, wind turbine, solar collectors and passive air conditioning methods. In addition, maintenance and operation costs are reduced to a minimum, easy to operate and passive / active systems are used in equilibrium design.

Furniture and decoration products used shall be selected or made from ergonomic and safe designs which have no harmful effects to health, do not have ecotoxic properties. Recycling or recovery will be supported in the school environment and on-site separation and collection principle will be fulfilled.
